“Revisiting the Bion-Bohm Connection in Light of the Therapeutic Third”

This presentation explores the philosophical implications derived from the distinct areas of Wilfred Bion’s psychoanalysis and David Bohm’s contributions to quantum physics. Dr Ekenstierna will focus on the conceptual similarities between these two thinkers, especially as regard “the ineffable dimension”. She will expand on what these implications mean for practice, and the dimension that she calls “the therapeutic third”. The blending of conceptual depth, poetry, and practical applications, promises to bring a meaningful dialogue to the conference.
